About the trail
Elephant's Eye is a cave high on the Constantiaberg, named for its shape when you see it from the valley below. From the mouth of the cave you look out over Constantia, Tokai and the southern suburbs to False Bay.
The usual route from Silvermine climbs gently through fynbos, then steepens for the last stretch to the cave. A longer, steeper way starts from Tokai for those who want more of a workout.
