About the trail
Elsie's Peak sits above Fish Hoek and Glencairn on the False Bay side of the peninsula. It is a short hike with a big reward: the whole sweep of False Bay, Fish Hoek beach below, and the mountains across the water.
Because the sun rises over False Bay, this is one of the best sunrise hikes on the peninsula. Between about August and November, keep an eye on the water for whales. It can be very windy at the top, so bring a warm layer.
