About the trail
The contour loop circles the whole of Lion's Head below the summit and finishes where it started. You get the same big views as the summit hike, over Camps Bay, the Atlantic, the city and Table Mountain, without the steep scramble and the chains at the top.
It suits families, mixed groups and anyone who wants the golden hour light without the climb. The light changes as you walk around the mountain, so every side of the loop looks different.
